STEP General Contractor built an industrial warehouse complex for Michelin, the French tire producer, in the Moscow Oblast.

The plant for production of Michelin tires is located in the Orekhovo-Zuevsky region of the Moscow Oblast. The Russian production plant, with a capacity of more than 4,500 tires per day, was launched by the French tire producer in 2004, becoming the first among foreign tire producers to open a plant in Russia.

By 2010 Michelin had the need to increase its tire production and build an additional production site. The company held a tender at which it chose STEP general contractor, which provided contracting, design, construction and commissioning services for the building, as well as put the complex into operation.

The area of the complex, which is located right alongside the original plant, equals 3,500 sq. m. The particularities of this project include its purpose, the abundance of engineering communications, and the lack of space for conducting the construction.
