STEP has begun construction in Saint Petersburg of an industrial warehouse complex for Wuerth North-West JSC, a subsidiary of Würth Group.

It will be built in Shushary industrial zone, on 25.9 thousand square meters. "Preparatory work has already begun and we will soon start assembling the building frame. Our company will perform the full range of general construction works, including the construction of utilities and development of the adjoining territory," said Mikhail Rusakov head of construction at STEP. He stated that construction should be completed in September 2014.

The industrial warehouse complex will cover 14.3 thousand square meters. It will be able to store over 10 thousand different products.

Wuerth North-West JSC has been operating in the region from 1997. The company supplies consumables (fasteners, cutting tools, industrial chemicals, abrasives, protective equipment, etc.) as well as all types of tools (about 100,000 products). Its main clients are industrial companies, auto repair shops, railroad, subway and the building industry. As well as its three offices in Saint Petersburg, Wuerth North-West JSC has representative offices in 20 cities in North West Russia, including Kaliningrad.

Würth Group has 408 companies operating in 84 countries. The Group's sales in 2013 came to 9.74 billion euros. Profit reached 450 million euros, 6% higher than the previous year. Würth invested over 400 million euros in business development in the past year. Among other things, this money was used to open about 90 new branches around the world. The Group's projected sales volume for 2014 will reach 10 billion, and operating profit will exceed 500 million euros.
